Built in the early 1900’s, the iconic building that will be known as Federation Place is approximately 118 years old and was first home to Day, Son and Harris boot manufacturers who later became Austral footwear where they produced 4000 pairs of shoes each week. In this same building, MacRae Knitting Mills Ltd took occupation in 1933 and in the 1950’s they formed the world-famous brand, Speedo.
Positioned neatly on the corner of Federation Road and the beautiful tree lined Norwood Street, Federation Place will be transformed to create 28 unique apartments all within the building structure as it appears today.
Outside of the building you stand directly in front of Camperdown Memorial Rest Park which provides a massive backyard and beautiful green backdrop and as you go up the levels in the building you will discover some rare views.
